A little something I’m currently painting for you.
The complete lack of good male reference and stock has left me improvising, and my principle of never drawing celebrities is currently in a grey zone. Ugh.
I’ve attached some extremely ugly and quick sketches below, to show you my planning process. These were doodled during ‘Studium Generale’. If nothing else, those hours of epistemology will have me painting walls and climbing curtains. (Or, that’s an exaggeration. And I do have a strange ability to doodle and listen all at once. Fancy that.)
Thanks for posting the sketches (quite beautiful. Not ugly at all!) as well as the work in progress. I like seeing the beginnings of your ideas.
Thank you! 🙂 I’m glad you like it, I thought it would be fun 🙂
i like it 🙂 It’s not ugly at all
Thank you so much! 😀 Well, I’m not exactly proud of my doodles from class, but.. that is how I plan 😛
But they are really good 🙂 I used too draw a lot in my classes
yeah, I’ve always done it – it’s a hard habit to break. Besides, it tends to help me keep my koncentration, especially when the subject of the day is epistemology 🙂 If you just sit and stare at powerpoints for hours.. well, you’re doomed!
It happened the same with me 🙂 I couldn’t concentrate in my classes if I wasn’t drawing, but when there were hours of powerpoints, my notebook would be full of drawings and forget paying attention:D I agree with you it’s a hard habit to break, harder if you have been doing that for years…
I’m glad I’m not the only one! And yes, and it’s even worse, if the drawings you make in the meantime are good 🙂 And it helps me keep my concentration, I switch back and forth between notes and doodles. My hand is just circling on the paper, doing whatever it wants.
my notebook was allways whith drawings in the sides I kind liked it :)… there was a time a teacher noticed that I spent the time drawing while he was talking and started saying that I would end the semester with a whole collection done 🙂 it’s a hard habit to lose when we love drawing soo much
Haha, atleast he perceived it as being a positive thing! Some teachers get extremely offended by it 🙂 Haha, yes, the doodling is definitely here to stay!
he was the only one, the rest didn’t like it even a bit… I agree you 🙂 eheh
Haha 😀
